Attorney Karin Quirk has provided highly professional and affordable legal services since 1997. Her law office,located in Kirkland’s beautiful Carillon Point,focuses on empowering couples,choosing to end their marriage to do so in a respectful cooperative manner. Karin refers to her services as “divorce for grown ups“.
Karin helps clients through a variety of modalities depending on client needs. Some couples can engage in a very simple “kitchen table divorce” in which the parties meet together amicably to resolve their issues either alone or with Karin’s guidance. Some situations are better managed with each side working with his/her own legal advocate in which the attorneys will handle the matter cooperatively. Another modality Karin supports is Fast Track Divorce ™. Karin is affiliated with a group of attorneys and other professional who have developed this new program. Another more formal modality is collaborative divorce in which the couple each has an attorney and is supported by a team of ancillary professionals which may include a financial specialist,parenting specialist,a mental health specialist acting as a divorce coach and perhaps even real estate and mortgage professionals. Mediation is another option available in almost all of these modalities.

If feasible,Karin offers flat-rate packages of legal services which clients greatly appreciate. Some matters can only be handled at an hourly rate and Karin offers reasonable fees for such matters.
Karin is now offering “Divorce Coaching”for those who choose to represent themselves but need guidance through the legal morass. Clients pay only per session and can avail themselves of as many sessions as they need. In Divorce Coaching,Karin does not file legal documents or represent either parties in court. Currently divorce coaching is only available in person but Karin is developing programs involving on line or telephonic coaching.

Karin has background and training in investment and wealth management. Currently she comments that she “divides wealth“. Her extensive experience helps her serve clients by helping them understand the tax and investment consequences of their divorce settlement. While not engaging in wealth managment,Karin relies on supportive professionals such as Certified Divorce Financial Analysts (CDFA)
